Lycopene
Lycopene is extracted from fresh tomatoes,and is an important
member of the beta-carotene family. Rresearch shows that lycopene
has powerful antioxidant activities. Lycopene was found to
be the most efficient biological carotenoid to neutralize
singlet oxygen - almost 3 times more powerful than carotene.
Lycopene can effectively prevent prostatitis, and promote
cardiovascular health, as well as support healthy cholesterol
levels and overall immune function. Its inhibiting function
for cancer cell is much stronger than alpha-carotene and beta-carotene.
With rich red color, lycopene is also a promising natural
pigment, and can be widely used in health products, phamaceucitals,cosmetics,
and natural pigment industries, etc.
