Black Cohosh extract
Black Cohosh P.E. extracted from the root of Black Cohosh.
It is used to treat problems related to the female menstrual
cycle. Owing to its expectorant and cough suppressant functions,
it is also used to help relax the bronchial tubes, as well
as to relieve varieties of respiratory problems.
The primary traditional use of black cohosh has been as a
relaxant, sedative, and antispasmodic. There is a research
suggests a pharmacological basis for its use in treating rheumatism
and neuralgia. It is a popular herb in china, and people apply
it in treating headache caused by wind heat, gingivitis, hives,
diarrhea, venting eruptive skin diseases, such as measles
in the early stages, and prolapsed internal organs, such as
the anus and uterus. The Chinese say that this herb "lifts
the sunken", therefore, it is used to direct other herbs
upward and is also indicated for prolapsed organs.
